free yourself but do not run

ring and circle     the world

of smoke             wisps falls

into        an encumbered


         glaze but always look

back at             the circle

with intrigue.          shapes

are different from form. 


door, thistle,       empty jug

is all you need     to navigate

through          the amber sun.








Sneha Subramanian Kanta is a GREAT scholarship awardee, with a second postgraduate degree in literature from England. Her poem 'At Dusk With the Gods' won the Alfaaz (Kalaage) prize. Her work is forthcoming in VIATOR project, former cactus, Verdancies and elsewhere.
