Rag Queen Periodical is a femme-centric lit zine publishing quarterly in May, August, November, and February.
We are looking for writing that is as unique as its author, writing that makes us feel like we just ate some Pop Rocks and then took a sip of cherry soda, writing that gives us the feeling we get when we’re in a three-story high antique mall and we can’t remember the way out. The writing should tell us something we didn’t already know, or even better, tell us something we did already know, but in a way we have never heard it before.
Some subjects we’re frequently interested in are:
+ Health and Healing, Love, Motherhood, Cyber Feminism, The Burlesque, Sexuality, Menstruation Anarchy, Sisterhood/Friendship, Anatomical Explorations, Advocacy, and much, much more.
Who Can Submit:
At this time, submissions are only open to those who identify as female, femme, or nonbinary.
We strongly encourage contributions from LGBTQ+ folks, writers/artists of color, and writers/artists with disabilities.
